Stories in Digital Media (SIDM) was a blog run by a few students and the professor Frieder Nake, part of the former Digital Media programme in the state of Bremen, Germany. By the end of the first decade of the millennium, the web and digital technology were advancing at an unprecedented pace in the social and artistic sphere. Developments were exciting, and we kept a log of some events and took time to reflect.

What you see here is a rendition of the content as it was back then, in a different, static archival representation. Enjoy this glimpse into a hopeful and exciting past.

Some additions to SiDM

Some nice news for us: We could achieve an increase of the pageviews during the last weeks. And we hope that we could create some news of your, the digital media students, interest. If directly related to the programme or not. The idea behind this blog is to create an inofficial platform from the digital media students, for the digital media students and maybe prospects or even friends. Furthermore we have the interest to spread this Blog a bit further. We are still looking for further participating authors, so if you are an digital media student out of the programme in Bremen or Bremerhaven. Just feel free to apply for this, describe yourself and mail your request to sidmeffzehn.de to retrieve authors rights on this blog. Right now we´re only three active authors, two seniors from the University of the Arts. And one student from the programme at the University of Bremen. Since a few days SiDM is listed at networkedblogs.com. This is an Facebook app. Just for the purpose to verify this blog, so if you own an facebook account. You could help us, simply by following SiDM via networkedblogs. And, the keyword following. Beyond the provided RSS Feed which you could subscribe, from now on, SiDM´s newest postings will be additionally generate an automatic tweet. So, if you´ld like to.
