Stories in Digital Media (SIDM) was a blog run by a few students and the professor Frieder Nake, part of the former Digital Media programme in the state of Bremen, Germany. By the end of the first decade of the millennium, the web and digital technology were advancing at an unprecedented pace in the social and artistic sphere. Developments were exciting, and we kept a log of some events and took time to reflect.

What you see here is a rendition of the content as it was back then, in a different, static archival representation. Enjoy this glimpse into a hopeful and exciting past.

X-SCREEN in the Breminale

HI, within the Breminale next Thursday and Saturday is the screening of the X-SCREEN short-film initiative lead by Joachim Hofmann at the HfK in the Digital Media program. It is a window to look at the recent video productions done during the last months by the students in the HfK, for some works is the première and for som student probable the starting point of a carreer as fim and video makers. I personally have the première of a short film I did: Healing. I hope to see some of you there (Google map). Here is the entire program. A hug.

I was surprised how many of us contributed a short film. Great!

Yeah Admin, it is really a great thing. I believe these sort (and new) initiatives should be encouraged and backed by the DM studies. It enhances the quality in the visual projects we do and gives us criteria and experience in narrative media. Beside a lot of fun :-).
