Some nice news for us: We could achieve an increase of the pageviews during the last weeks. And we hope that we could create some news of your, the digital media students, interest. If directly related to the programme or not. The idea behind this blog is to create an inofficial platform from the digital media students, for the digital media students and maybe prospects or even friends.
Furthermore we have the interest to spread this Blog a bit further. We are still looking for further participating authors, so if you are an digital media student out of the programme in Bremen or Bremerhaven. On Monday, 14th of december the bachelor student Daniel Weidner will perform two game sessions ( 11:00 and 14:00 ) for evaluation purposes. He´s still looking for volunteers !

Dear DM-Students,
we hereby invite you to the plenary meeting of all digital media students.
This year’s plenary meeting of digital media students will take place on Wednesday 25th of November 2009 at 12:00 s.t. at the University of Bremen, Room MZH 1400.
The course “Eventual Design: Exploring Another Approach to Making Things That Make Things Happen” from Nathan Felde had to be canceled for personal reasons.
the stupid thing is that those people who need this module missed the beginning of other courses which have started already (not me luckily).

Just to make an conclusion of the last days as an junior master, new to the graduate programme. And to the University of Bremen.
Groups formed already, but, as in most of the cases, known people stick together. And as I´m a stranger to all of them I try to get in contact to the internationals. Know how hard It could be to be abroad and to get involved within a new enviroment, had also been abroad for my mandatory exchange term in Riga, Latvia.
The lectures started at all universities now and the most of the new students arrived in the master programme as well as in the bachelor degree courses.
There´ll be the master retreat at Verden on November 6th and as I´m an junior in the master programme I´m really looking forward to it.
To give an brief overview: There are 5 projects which will start in the next term, mandatory lectures started already and it´s up to us to form our groups in the next weeks, months. Just have look at the projects page on the official programmes website to retrieve an overview.
So, I´m a parcitipant within the upcoming Serious Games : Entertainment Computing project at the university. Recently I stumbled upon this blog called acagamic.com of an Ph.D. Candidate in the research field of Serious Games. His academic presentations are also online on slideshare . Could be also of interest for the parcitipants of the mobile gaming project at the University of Applied Sciences Bremen ?
Might be the right to time to distribute the url of this blog and to have a look if there´ll be a bit more parcitipation in the future to improve the communication between the different projects and institutions? We´ll see.
